Vanessa Varjian is an observational painter living and working in Brookfield, Massachusetts. She draws inspiration from the landscape as well as the fruits and flowers that come from it. She paints in acrylics and oils over an absorbent ground to create a sense of light and depth through varied marks such as stains, transparent glazes and impasto painting. Much of the inspiration for her art has developed through working with her hands outdoors and observing seasonal changes.
